We are practitioners first. SunaHealth Labs™ was founded by clinicians who could see the gap between what their patients needed and what was available for practitioners. So we built what we couldn’t find: clean, therapeutically dosed formulations designed for the complexities of the real clinical situations we saw in practice.

Every product in our range has been developed, tested, and refined in our own consultation rooms before it reaches your dispensary. We don’t formulate for trends. We formulate for the patient sitting in front of us, including those who react to everything else.

Our Story

Our founders, Jace Harsh, BHSc (Naturopathy), and Tiaan Bennett, BHSc (Naturopathy), Co-Director of The Naturopathy Clinic in North Sydney, are qualified naturopathic clinicians who work directly with patients.

Through years of clinical practice, functional testing, and managing complex gastrointestinal, immune, and metabolic presentations, they kept running into the same problem: a gap for formulations designed around the practitioner’s clinical reality.

The natural medicine market has no shortage of quality products. What they noticed was something more specific. Clean excipient profiles for sensitive patients. Therapeutic doses that reflect the evidence, not just the label. Ingredient combinations with a clear mechanistic rationale you can actually explain in a consultation.

That’s the space SunaHealth Labs™ was built to fill. Not to reinvent the wheel, but to serve the practitioners and patients who needed something the existing market wasn’t quite reaching.

Meet the Founders

SunaHealth Labs wasn’t something I planned from a spreadsheet. It grew from the same place most good clinical decisions do – from sitting with a patient and realising the tools available weren’t diverse enough.

I came to naturopathy early. But I was never the type to accept things at face value. I needed to understand the mechanisms. How do these compounds actually interact with our physiology? Why does this work for one patient and not another? That curiosity has driven everything since.

It became personal when I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition. My family already had a history, but experiencing it myself changed things. Suddenly I wasn’t just curious. I was navigating the same landscape my patients navigate every day. Conflicting research, protocols that didn’t quite fit, a lot of noise to filter through. That experience pushed me to complete my Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy, not just to understand my own situation, but to be genuinely useful to the people who would eventually trust me with their care.

In practice, working within the natural medicine therapeutic order alongside functional pathology, I could see exactly what was happening with my patients. The testing was sophisticated. The data was there. The formulations available needed to diversify.

I needed products that could hold up against that level of diagnostic precision and regular individual presentations. Clean enough for the patient who has reacted to everything else. Dosed at levels that move the needle. Built around mechanisms, not marketing.

The Naturopathy Clinic wasn’t built from a business plan alone. It was built from lived experience.

In my early twenties I was diagnosed with thyroid dysfunction, navigating it alongside hormonal imbalance and ongoing gut dysfunction. Like a lot of the patients I now see in clinic, I was searching for answers in a system that treated each problem separately. But my own recovery taught me something that has shaped everything since: these systems don’t fail in isolation. As my gut health improved, so did my hormonal regulation. The hierarchy between them became impossible to ignore.

That experience didn’t just inform how I practise. It drove me to build a clinic where that understanding was foundational rather than incidental.

When I established The Naturopathy Clinic in North Sydney in 2019, the intention was straightforward. A practice grounded in evidence-informed, functional healthcare that respected physiology and prioritised measurable outcomes. As the clinic grew into a multi-practitioner practice supporting patients across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States, advanced functional pathology became central to everything we do.

It was through that clinical work, alongside Jace, that SunaHealth Labs™ took shape. Not as a business venture, but as a natural extension of what we were already doing every day for the patients in front of us.

Our Commitment
to Research

Natural medicine deserves more recognition than it currently receives. We believe that deeply. But recognition without recognised evidence is just difficult, and our profession deserves better than that.

This is why a portion of our profits goes directly to the NICM Health Research Institute. Not as a marketing gesture, but because we think practitioners have a responsibility to fund the researchers building the science our profession stands on.

When the evidence base grows, everyone benefits. The practitioners recommending these approaches with greater confidence. The patients receiving them. And an industry that has always deserved a stronger seat at the table.
